what do i do about my credit card debt i only make 500.00 a month?

currently im a single parent and full-time student. i let my bills get away now im stuck. a credit counselor told me i should file bankruptcy but i dont own anything. dont you have to own something to file bankruptcy?

Filing for bankruptcy should be the last resort, but it’s not the end of the world either (you don’t need to own anything, it’s better that you don’t). You need to consider how much the credit card debt is, if you have any student loans or will need them in the future. Filing for bankruptcy could affect if you get approved for the student loans.
Try to get a 2nd job, maybe move in with a family member until you get your credit cards paid off.
