Debt, collections and credit card question?

I have some bills that need payed off and I have one credit card. My question is if I go or contact a Credit counselor or Debt help business(Careone credit,debt relief agency) will they freeze my credit card account or put it on hold? My debt situation is not bad, but I’ve heard that if you seek help through a business that specializes in credit card debt or collections, they will freeze all of your credit cards. I am slowly building up my credit and I would hate to have them take my card away. Is this true? Any one that has or has had this problem or knows the facts please let me know some options…..Thanks!!!!

I have a poor credit score. I am approx 15k in debt from cc – what is the best way to bring up my credit score

These debts are from 2003-2006. After I got divorced everything was in my name and I let it all go. I am not paying on anything. I only have 1 cc in good current standing. I am afraid of debt consolidators as I have heard they hurt not help credit. Should I see a credit counselor? Any advice? I want my perfect credit back. Help.

What kind of debt situations qualify you to delcare bankruptsy?

I am 21 years old and in k of credit card debt. I make just about k a year. I made a lot of stupid decisions when i first got my credit cards. I am living at home and unable to to move out, or do anything at all for that matter. I don't spend any money and I put all my money towards bills though a credit counselor. Would I be able to declare bankruptcy?
